Hello there! We know you came here to find out more about our amazing little Ozofresh PlugIn, and there is also a good chance you are standing in a shop somewhere scanning the QR code on the box. So, here is what you are probably holding in your hand or wanting to know from seeing it on the internet:
Our plug-in odour neutraliser brings the same trusted technology used across care homes, hotels and UK holiday parks into a compact, affordable unit designed for everyday home use.
Whether you’re battling pet ‘perfumes’, a teenage bedroom odour, (you know the ones we mean, the type that seem to defy scientific categorisation), or persistent overflow bathroom and/or urine odours, the Plug-In gives you a clean-air solution without perfumes or chemical masking.
That’s the nutshell description! We have tried to answer any individual question you may have below. If not, contact us, or fill in our enquiry form here, and we will answer your question and solve your problem.
Let’s dive into the details, shall we?
The Ozofresh Plug-In is a small, low-energy odour-neutralising device that releases controlled, ultra-low levels of ozone (O₃). Ozone breaks down odour molecules at their source, permanently removing smells rather than covering them up.
This is the same core technology used by professional cleaning teams, care environments and hotels and is safe for continuous domestic use. Simply plug it into a standard UK socket and leave it to run.
The Plug-In produces very low levels of ozone, a naturally occurring molecule that reacts with odour-causing compounds in the air and on surfaces.
When ozone comes into contact with these molecules, it breaks them apart through a natural process called oxidation. Once the reaction is complete, the ozone simply reverts back to oxygen.
There are no perfumes, chemical residues or thick artificial scents, just clean, fresh, neutral air.
Ozone (O₃) is made up of three oxygen atoms. In nature, it is created by sunlight, lightning and atmospheric processes. In your PlugIn it is created by a special ‘cell’ in much smaller quantities.
Here’s what it basically does in your home:
This is the same principle used in our high level professional odour-removal and virus protection equipment, but the Ozofresh Plug-In is specifically engineered to generate safe, ultra-low amounts suitable for occupied rooms in homes.
Yes. Absolutely!
The Plug-In runs at controlled, home-safe levels of ozone suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and hallways. It adheres to domestic-use guidance and is used throughout UK households, offices, caravans and holiday lets. The manual clearly explains where to place and use the PlugIn for safe, effective use. As you would expect from any air care or cleaning device, it should be used correctly.
Ozofresh has supplied ozone systems to regulated sectors, including care homes and hospitality, for more than a decade. Unless the device is misused and you follow a few fairly small safety procedures, the PlugIn will serve you safely, often well beyond its initial warranty period!

The PlugIn usually costs only pennies per week to run, making it far more cost-effective than buying aerosol cans or refill cartridges.
No.
The PlugIn has no consumables. Once it’s plugged in, it simply works.
Not really.
Ozone neutralises odours rather than adding fragrance. Your room will smell clean and neutral, not perfumed. When it is running, the PlugIn produces ozone, which has a sort of clean, fresh smell. A lot of people say it is like line-dried washing. This will soon dissipate and return to fresh air. Where a perfume is sprayed in the air to linger and add a smell, ozone destroys the odour and vanishes. It doesn’t produce a smell because it is designed to get rid of smells.
Yes.
The Plug-In is designed for continuous, unattended operation in occupied areas. It is totally safe for background use. That said, when it has done its work and the odour is gone, feel free to switch it off and move it where it is needed next.
Many users notice the difference within a few minutes, but the plugin can run as long as you need it. Stronger odours may take a little longer and, of course, it will depend on whether the source of the odour is still there as to how long the PlugIn needs to operate.
No, it is a background, light, fresh air smell, similar to the one you get after a thunderstorm or at high altitudes and any ozone you notice will be residual and soon turn to oxygen. If you do feel the ozone scent is very noticeable, well, that just means the PlugIn has probably done its job, and you can turn it off until the unpleasant odour returns. Once the source of the smell has gone, move the PlugIn to its next job.
Ozofresh is the UK’s market leader in ozone-based odour control with over a decade of development and specialist odour control experience. Our equipment is used by care homes, hotels, cleaning firms, caravan parks and housing providers across the country.
